MA/Msc Thesis Extension Request Form

This form should be used by MA/Msc students who find they cannot complete their thesis in the currently registered semester. In certain situations, a thesis extension semester may be requested if it is shown that sufficient research and writing has already been presented to the Thesis Advisor and regular contact has been maintained.

For a thesis to be considered "submitted" according to university standards, the final thesis must be written and properly formatted according to the standards of the project advisor and the AUP Thesis Presentation Standards, and it must be submitted on time.

By submitting this form, the student acknowledges understanding that a thesis extension:

- Modifies the graduation date of the student;

- Automatically charges the student for health insurance coverage, not included in the fee above, if the student is living in France;

- Allows the student to renew the student housing insurance, which carries an additional charge;

- Gives the student access to all university facilities and services (including Student Immigration Services) and

-A thesis extension C carries a 1000€ flat rate charge, which must be paid at the time the form is submitted
